Knight .52 DISC Extreme

The .52 caliber bore diameter enables the use of bullets with superior ballistic characteristics, resulting in big bore knockdown power at extended ranges. The .52 caliber out performs .54 caliber rifles due to the bullet/sabot fit. The thinner petals used with the .52 caliber prevent gas leakage and allows the bullet to release from the sabot immediately after leaving the muzzle, both of which enhance accuracy.

This rifle features a new concept breech plug with Power Stem technology (designed to use loose powder exclusively). The Power Stem significantly increases the overall velocity and energy while diminishing felt recoil created when using Hodgdon's Triple7 loose powder. As a result of the breech plug with Power Stem technology, the Knight .52 DISC Extreme boasts an 11% increase in velocity and a 32% increase in energy at 150 yards in comparison to .50 caliber magnum loads. All this while still only utilizing the maximum recommended load of 150 grains of loose powder.

The concept behind the breech plug with Power Stem technology is its forward ignition. A modified breech plug with an elongated Power Stem ignites the powder in the forward portion of the powder column first. This allows the bullet to gain a more uniform acceleration through the barrel, yielding higher velocity, increased energy, and less punishing recoil which big game hunters demand.

The Knight .52 DISC Extreme will also utilize the XCoil recoil pad by HiViz Shooting Systems. It has been proven to absorb felt recoil 33% more effectively. The XCoil recoil pad is constructed of a revolutionary composite proven superior at dampening recoil. Combined with an unique texture, the XCoil's composition resists slipping when shouldered for consistent gun positioning and improved eye/hand coordination.
